Doctor in Musicology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, specialist in analysis, composition and production of music for audiovisual media. Degree in History from the University of Barcelona, Degree in Musicology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Master in Humanities: contemporary art, literature and culture from the Open University of Catalonia.
As a teacher, he has worked on the Degree in Audiovisual Media at TecnoCampus, as well as on the Degree in Musicology, the Master's in Musicology, music education and interpretation of early music and the Master's in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate (specialty: Music) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Between 2006 and 2022 he was director of the Societat Choral La Floresta, the oldest active choir in Barcelona.
On a professional level, he has a long career as a composer and producer of music for films, stage shows and artistic installations, obtaining recognition such as the Barcelona Cinema Award for best original music for Teens (2006) or the Gaudí Award for best original music for Trash (2010) My Great Work –one of the shows for which he has composed music– has been performed at the Tate Modern (London International MIME Festival), the Venice Biennale (International Theatre Festival) and the main festivals and theatres of the international contemporary scene, receiving multiple awards. The practitioner (2020) – one of the films he has worked on – was one of Netflix's most watched films worldwide, ranking among the platform's 10 most popular films in 78 countries and reaching number 1 in 27 of them. The film Beach House (2023) was awarded the Best International Film award at the Mammoth Film Festival in California, and also received the Audience Award at the Catalan International Film Festival.
