The European Pact on Mental Health (2008) calls on educational institutions to promote and support the well-being of young people in the field of mental health, ensuring early intervention plans and risk assessment and prevention programs in this area. For this reason, a pedagogy that develops personal skills, improves the commitment of students in internships and equips them with skills to improve their personal well-being, once immersion in the professional field has begun, is promoted, to train the resilience that promotes labor retention.
The SSTeMM is also aimed at other groups such as clinical tutors, academic tutors, Higher Education institutions and those in charge of public health, education and occupational policies.
The SSTeMM has a connected approach that includes perspectives from the different participating countries since nursing is one of the most globally mobile regulated professions. For this reason, the results of the project will be generalized to the higher education sector across the EU, identifying approaches that help student retention and contribute to a more supportive European higher education.
Funded with the support of the European Commission. Erasmus + program.
