Description of the project

The Additive Manufacturing Technology Accelerator, ThinkIn3D Mataró, a highly differentiated infrastructure, will allow the innovation of the territory's productive fabric to be promoted through technological training programs and access to its technological applications.

The thematic approach is governed by the T-shape logic: it will have a vertical area of ​​specialization in health (from prostheses, splints to medical devices, through products related to physiotherapy, quality of life in the elderly, nursing, sports, etc.); at the same time that it will offer services and support to incubators and companies from any sector, with the spirit of achieving the greatest possible horizontal reach.

The operation of the Accelerator pivots around five axes:

  1. Incubator and 3DTechLab: Equipment and spaces for technology transfer
  2. Transfer: Integration of technology as an element of competitiveness and modernization in micro-SMEs
  3. Innovation and entrepreneurship: Creation of new companies and strengthening of recently created micro-SMEs
  4.  Internationalization: Joining networks and facilitating agreements that favor exit to foreign markets
  5.  Access to financing: Access to public and private financial instruments and resources

The total budget for the execution of the operation amounts to €1.999.625,00. Of this amount, Mataró City Council contributes €1.000.000, and €999.812,50 will be financed by FEDER funds.
