The Yes We Rent project is financed with European regional development funds through the initiative of innovative urban actions (UIA), which provides resources to test new solutions that respond to urban challenges. The consortium that makes the project possible is made up of the Mataró City Council (coordinator), the Provincial Council of Barcelona, the Fundació Unió de Cooperadors, Salesians Sant Jordi, the Institute of Government and Public Policy of the UAB (IGOP ) and the TecnoCampus.
As part of the project, the new tenants' cooperative, Bolc Cooperatiu, has been created, with more than 100 members at the end of the project and 61 homes. In order to attract housing, a series of advantageous measures have been developed for owners, such as non-refundable subsidies for energy efficiency measures for housing, rehabilitation works, payment guarantees, tax benefits and free management of the rent
The participation of TecnoCampus, as a partner in the project, consisted of carrying out a quantitative and economic impact assessment. The impact assessment has been led by researchers Josep Mª Raya, Catalina Llaneza and Helena Hernández.
On the other hand, the Chair of Social Economy at TecnoCampus, with the team of researchers formed by Eloi Serrano, Ismael Hernández and Màrian Buil, has supported the tenant cooperative that was created in the framework of the project in the realization of a business plan and a feasibility plan.
"Yes we Rent" has a total budget for the entire duration of the project of €3.125.797,70, of which the European Commission, through Innovative Urban Actions, contributes €2.500.638,16.
Of this total, TecnoCampus has a total budget of €93.550, of which €74.840,00 is subsidized.
