Scholarships for athletes from clubs affiliated to the "TecnoCampus Sports Club"

Call for academic year 2023/2024

Purpose

The TecnoCampus Foundation grants tuition assistance scholarships to athletes who are actively developing sports competition in clubs affiliated to the TecnoCampus Sports Club for the 2023-24 academic year and who wish to pursue undergraduate university studies.

Convening entity

The TecnoCampus Foundation is convened with the sponsorship of the clubs affiliated to the "TecnoCampus Sports Club".

Who can apply

Students who enroll in a degree at the TecnoCampus in the 2023/24 academic year, who are accredited by a center affiliated to the TecnoCampus Sports Club and who meet the following requirements can apply for these grants:

General requirements:

• To be an active athlete of the center that accredits it, actively developing the sports competition and who, due to their career and current level, are considered outstanding athletes in their sections and categories. In all cases, sports clubs must be members of the TecnoCampus Sports Club for the 2023/24 academic year.
• Be under 25 years old at the start of the 2023/24 school year.

Academic requirements:

• Register for a minimum of 60 credits per course, as long as the study plan and academic regulations allow it (in the case of double degrees without counting analogous subjects). For these purposes, recognized credits are also counted. Notwithstanding the above, if the student enrolls for less than 60 credits, the amount of the scholarship will be reduced proportionally.
• Have formalized the registration. In the event of applying for academic leave for studies enrolled before the decision to award scholarships, it will be understood that the student withdraws from their application.
• TecnoCampus students, from the 2nd year onwards, must also have achieved a minimum academic performance of 65% of approved credits with respect to the previous year.

Economic endowment

The total endowment of the program by TecnoCampus is 6 scholarships of €750 per academic year and until the credits necessary to obtain the degree are reached, as long as the beneficiaries meet the academic and sports requirements for its renewal contemplated in the bases.

For its part, the Sports Club will provide the same amount for the same periods, so that the beneficiaries, in the case of meeting the requirements indicated in these rules, will obtain a grant of 1.500 euros per year throughout their studies at TecnoCampus . 

Notwithstanding the above, if the student enrolls for less than 60 credits, the amount of the scholarship will be reduced proportionally.

Documentation to be provided

The following documentation must be attached to the application:

• Certificate issued by the sports club according to the model in Annex I, which certifies that the person concerned is actively participating in sports competition and is considered an outstanding athlete in their sections and categories, as well as a list of their sports merits

 The sports club's certificate must be presented according to the model contained in Annex I of the rules of the call. 

The Valuation Committee may request additional documentation from the interested party, if it is considered that the information provided does not sufficiently accredit what is to be stated.

The application period is from September 1 to October 14, 2023.
