Working methodology

Working methodology

Theoretical classes:

Theoretical concepts will be presented in class by the teacher. In the same way, practical exercises will be solved that illustrate the theory to generate a debate in the classroom with the participation of the students. At the end of each topic there will be a question / answer game / contest where the contents will be reviewed in a playful way. This, generated through the crowdlive platform, can be done both in person and online.

Practical classes:

Practices are a fundamental part of the classes, as they serve to show in a tangible and direct way the theoretical concepts taught. Attendance is mandatory. Only an unjustified absence per course will be allowed (the only cases in which an absence is justified are: serious health or family circumstance, court summons, elite athlete competition). If there is more than one unjustified absence, the part of the internship will be suspended and the student will have to go for recovery.

Important note:

Spelling will be taken into account in all written exercises (whether they belong to the theoretical or practical class). Under no circumstances will an exercise be accepted outside the delivery date set by the teacher, regardless of the student's justification. Unnamed activities or without following the established delivery format will not be evaluated and the numerical grade will be zero.

Learning activities

PRACTICES:

ACTIVITY 1: WHERE DO WE START? Conception and Ideation of an audiovisual piece.

In groups of 6/8, the students will have to think of an idea for an audiovisual piece, to choose from short documentary or video clip.

Each group will have to prepare a dossier with the idea that includes: concept, subject, characters, locations, aesthetics and references.

It is important that the working groups belong to the assigned practice groups. If you are not comfortable with your internship group, you can request a reassignment before starting the internship, as long as you find a person from the other group who wants to change for you.

Related Learning Outcomes: RA3, RA4, RA5, RA7, RA10 Competences: [linked to E.5., G.5.]

ACTIVITY 2: PREPARE A PRODUCTION DOSSIER (5%)

Based on the ideas that emerged from the first practice, a production / sales dossier will be prepared in groups that includes all the elements necessary to present the future production.

The contents and visual aspect of the document will be evaluated.

Evaluation system

50% Theory + 50% Practice

Evaluation system

A single exam with a weight of 50% of the final grade.

Nine internships that together offer 20% of the grade

Internships are mandatory. Arriving more than 15 minutes late means zero in practice. Final production: 30% (the final product has 20%, the other 10% corresponds to the documentation submitted). The presentation of the work is mandatory to be able to take the final exam. To be able to average, the mark of the theoretical exam must be at least a 5. To be able to average, the mark of the set of practices must be at least a 5.

Final production: 30% (the final product accounts for 25% and the other 5% corresponds to the documentation submitted).

The presentation of the project is mandatory to be able to take the final exam.

To be able to average, the mark of the theoretical exam must be at least a 5.

To be able to average, the mark of the set of practices must be at least a 5.

In case of confinement, the final test of the theoretical part of the subject will also be done through a telematic system.

Recovery:

In case of failing the theoretical exam, the recovery will consist of a theoretical exam of all the content of the subject that will average with the average mark of the practices (if these are approved)

Only those students who have taken the final exam can apply for recovery (all those students "not presented" in the first call do not have the option to take the recovery).

The mark to pass this exam will also be a 5, otherwise the subject will be suspended.

In case of suspending the practical part of the subject, the student will have to realize an individual activity of recovery that will equivalent to 40% of the practical percentage of the subject.

Those students who have not presented themselves in the internships during the term will not be able to access this recovery practice and their grade will include a Not Presented.

The internship grade will not be saved from one course to another.
