Description


Neurological physiotherapy is a subject that aims to provide the student with the necessary knowledge to understand the basic principles of neurorehabilitation as well as the main neurological effects in adult patients. Likewise, the student will be provided with the notions, tools and strategies necessary to assess the patient, as well as plan and execute the treatment.

This subject ensures the introduction of the gender perspective in both content and development.

Learning outcomes


  • RA22_Establishes the intervention protocol based on the joint negotiation between therapist and patient.
  • RA23_ Carry out the physiotherapy diagnosis to determine the dysfunctions and disabilities that will require a specific physiotherapy intervention.
  • RA26_ Identify the main musculoskeletal pathologies. Learn about medical-surgical interventions, effects and results. Contribution of physiotherapy in the treatment and improvement of medical and/or surgical interventions.
  • RA27_Interacts with medical professionals to gain therapeutic effectiveness. Establish joint intervention objectives.

Attendance at the practical classes is mandatory for 80%. The student who does not meet this requirement will be recorded as NOT PRESENTED and will not be able to be evaluated (theoretical or practical exam) and will not have the option of recovery.

The theoretical and practical exam must be passed with a minimum of 5, to make an average and pass the subject. The subject is approved with a minimum total average of 5.

The total or partial copying of any of the learning activities will mean a "Not Presented" in the subject, without the option to take the recovery test and without prejudice to the opening of a file for this reason

Recovery:

The grades obtained during the quarter resulting from the continuous assessment cannot be recovered and therefore the marks will be kept as part of the final mark of the subject (both passed and failed).

Students who have failed the practical and / or theoretical exam will be entitled to a resit exam.

(According to current regulations, you can only opt for recovery if the subject has been suspended. If the grade is Not presented, you will not be able to opt for recovery.)
