Description


The course aims to study the elements of the supply chain and their importance through the analysis of decision-making, limitations, risks and future trends.

 

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

Learning outcomes


Provide the fundamentals that will help you understand the basic principles of the supply chain and its importance in business in a global environment.

Identify the strategic guidelines that guide decision-making within the supply chain and the impact on its development.

Recognize the limitations, opportunities and critical aspects through different case studies, as well as the characteristics of sustainable "best practices".

Learn about risk management and current trends in the supply chain.

Working methodology


 Until the face-to-face academic activity is reopened, classes will be replaced by online sessions and explanations in the virtual classroom.

- Theoretical sessions:

From master classes based on the teacher's explanation, presentations in multimedia format that support the teacher's presentation and support for other electronic resources (in video or audio format).

- Guided learning:

Carrying out Workshops (groups) in debate format with the aim of analyzing and discussing together in class a specific situation of the syllabus previously studied in class. In these sessions, the student will prepare the material available through electronic format (video), newspaper news and case study with the

in order to generate discussion in class and with the rest of the class from the available material. The teacher will propose a guideline of analysis based on the concepts studied in class.

The aim of the activity is to learn to communicate, work in a team and that the student is able to analyze problems with a rigorous criterion.

- Autonomous learning:

Carrying out Workshops (Individual) referring to the topic studied in the classroom. Once a topic of the subject has been completed, Workshops will be held with the aim

to deepen and resolve doubts. The aim of this activity is for the student to prepare the subject through different tasks (solving questions

theories and problems, case study analysis, critical reading of articles, etc.).

The purpose of this activity is for the student to develop skills to search for and analyze information, as well as autonomy to select appropriate resources.

Learning activities


Different activities will be carried out throughout the course:

- Master classes where the content of the syllabus will be exposed through presentations by the teacher.

- Workshops through group discussions where students analyzing situations together.

- Individual workshops on the topic studied in the classroom.

Evaluation system


By virtue of the state of alarm and in accordance with the guidelines of Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), according to RD 463/2020, and aware of the impact on "educational and / or training activities", we modify the evaluation adapting to the new scenarios:

- Test and problems (40%)

At the end of each topic, there will be a quiz or problem type exam

- Final exam (60%)

The final exam is compulsory and will be assessed using reasoning questions. The minimum grade to pass the exam is 5 points to average with the continuous assessment (workshops).

For the evaluation of the subject, the activities carried out during the course (40%) and the result obtained in the final exam (60%) will be taken into account, as long as the latter has a minimum grade of 5 points.

RECOVERIES

Students who have failed the subject have the right to retake the final exam. They will not be able to recover the activities carried out during the course.
