The Talent scholarships have a long history at the Pompeu Fabra University, and for a few years now they have also been awarded at the TecnoCampus in recognition of the best academic records among all new students entering undergraduate studies. This year, we wanted to take advantage of the awarding ceremony of these grants to hand out others, the University-Company. In the latter case, the financial endowment comes from the Aquahotel company, and is awarded to the two best first-year records of the double degree in Tourism and Leisure Management and Business Administration and Innovation Management.

Scholarship students and their families filled the Sala de Graus in an event in which the mayor of Mataró and president of the TecnoCampus, David Bote, took part; the general director of the TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa; the assistant vice-chancellor to the chancellor of Pompeu Fabra University, David Sancho; and the president of the board of directors of Aquahotel, Joaquim Pons. All of them have emphasized that the scholarships reward the effort made in the pre-university stage and in the first year of the University, and demonstrate the will to recognize excellence on the part of companies and institutions. The scholarships consist of a bonus on the tuition fee.
