B3_F That students have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study), to make judgments that incorporate a reflection on relevant social, scientific and ethical issues
E2_F Know and understand the sciences, models, techniques and instruments on which physiotherapy is based, articulated and developed
E3_F Know and understand the methods, procedures and physiotherapeutic actions, aimed both at the actual therapy to be applied in the clinic for re-education or functional recovery, as well as carrying out activities aimed at promoting and maintaining health
E5_F Assess the functional status of the patient, considering the physical, psychological and social aspects
E7_F Design the physiotherapy intervention plan according to criteria of adequacy, validity and efficiency
T2_F Demonstrate ability to organize and plan
The subject of Skeletal Muscle Physiotherapy is a compulsory training in the Degree in Physiotherapy.
It will develop the main physical therapies for the treatment and intervention of musculoskeletal conditions.
This subject is made up of 5 theoretical-practical blocks, specific to the different intervention procedures in Physiotherapy:
- Identifies the main physical agents used in physiotherapy interventions. Classify them according to their effect and importance and establishing the order of priorities according to their therapeutic application.
- Establish an intervention protocol based on the joint negotiation between therapist and patient.
- Analyzes the patient's expectations regarding their evolution, demand and needs.

The final exam will be a practical exam that will be held during the theoretical and practical classes of the seminars. It will be essential to get a grade of 5 in each of the blocks so that the grade can average.
The group work will consist of solving a clinical case using the tools learned in the different blocks that make up the subject. The work will be delivered during the established examination period. It will be essential to get a grade of 5 so that the grade can average.
Within each theoretical-practical seminar, different individual works will be proposed that will shape the continuous evaluation. This section cannot be recovered.
It is an essential requirement to attend 80% of each of the practical blocks. The fact of not fulfilling this requirement will not allow the realization of the final examination and as a consequence the subject will be suspended in all its blocks and will have to return to take the next course..
Recovery period
Students will have the option of retrieving the subject when the corresponding recoverable assessment activities have been presented.
Continuous evaluation cannot be recovered. The grades obtained in the continuous assessment will be kept as part of the final grade of the subject.
