MARCOS FAUNDEZ-ZANUY se born en Barcelona, ​​España. He received the B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication en 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in 1998, both from the Polytechnic University of Catalunya. He nodo Full Profesor (catedrático) en EUP Mataro (Tecnocampus) y heads the Signal Processing Group there (Grupo de investigación consolidado GRC-1318, grupo de investigación consolidado (2009-2013, 2014-2017, 2018-2021). He sido de la Escuela Universitaria Politécnica de Mataró (Polytechnic University of Catalunya) de 2009-2018. Since 2010 he sido el líder de investigación en Tecnocampus. Las investigaciones interes lee en las órdenes de biométricas que se aplican a la seguridad y la salud. He sido el iniciador y el líder de la European COST action 277 ``Nonlinear speech processing'', y el secretario de COST action 2102 “Cross-Modal Analysis of Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication”. He sido más de 100 papeles indexados en ISI Journal citation report, más de 100 conference papers, alrededor de 10 books, y responsable de 10 national and european research projects. Dr. Faundez-Zanuy está en Spanish liaison of EURASIP. Specialties: Biometrics (face, speech, hand-geometry, on-line signature recognition) applied to security and health.
