The Més Mataró - Company - Society Awards will be divided into three categories: large and medium-sized companies, small or micro-companies and self-employed professionals. The winners of each of the three categories will receive a financial endowment of €2.000, recognition by the Economic and Social Council and Mataró City Council as well as support in the promotion and presence in the media of the winning initiative.

The MÉS Mataró Awards – Company – Society they aim to promote the integration of social responsibility (SR) policies in business initiatives, at the same time they want to contribute to the responsible socio-economic development of Mataró and promote good SR practices that can serve as a reference in a way that encourages transferability and mutual cooperation. 

The candidate initiatives must be oriented towards all or some of the following areas: 

  • Social. Initiatives related to the connection and positive contribution of business activity to its social environment. 
  • environmental Projects with sensitivity to the environmental impact, either derived from business activity or from the company's commitment to care for the environment. 
  • economical Actions related to the ethics of the economic model, participatory models of management and governance and innovation in a social key. 

These awards are promoted by the Economic and Social Council of Mataró, the consultation, consultation and participation body made up of the main representatives of the business sector and trade unions, and the Mataró Town Council. It becomes a body of reference for the creation of opinion on the economic development of Mataró whose function is to open lines of work and proposals in the economic and social sphere, in order to contribute to the transformation and consolidation of the development model local of the city.

The awarding of the MÉS Mataró - Company - Society 2024 Awards will take place on Wednesday, May 15 from 18 to 20 p.m. at Cafè Nou (La Riera, 119, Mataró), as part of the annual meeting of the Economic and Social Council of Mataró.
