A software based on artificial intelligence for the diagnosis of dysphagia, which will help optimize the screening, diagnosis and treatment of people suffering from this disease, was taken last night on award with the highest endowment of the Night of Entrepreneurship: the Creatic award for the best business initiative in the field of technology and innovation, endowed with 12.000 euros and a discounted stay in the incubator for one year. This is a project that, under the name of AIMS-OD, has been presented by Alberto Martín, Pere Clavé and Xavier Tibau.
The professor of the UOC and the University of Leicester, Salvador Macip, gave the inaugural lecture for the 2021-2022 academic year at the TecnoCampus last night, in an event that brought together around 150 people in the Auditorium. Macip made an exhaustive analysis of the management and current situation of what he described as "the first great pandemic of the XNUMXst century", to highlight that it is not the first of this century, but the first of this magnitude. In this sense, Macip emphasized the "forgotten diseases", such as malaria or tuberculosis, which wreak havoc in many poor countries, or in others, such as AIDS or influenza, which cause a large number. of deaths each year, also in Western countries.
The TecnoCampus and the Mataró City Council have opened the 21a convocatòria dels Premis Creatic, aimed at entrepreneurial projects related to technology and innovation. Like last year, the Creatic Award will be given to the best business initiative, and in addition the best initiative led by women and the best project with social impact will be recognized. The first of these prizes is endowed with 12.000 euros, and the other two, with 6.000 euros. The winners will also enjoy direct access to the TecnoCampus business incubator, with a 50% discount in the first year, and will be able to connect to the ecosystem of the technology park, which is currently home to more than one hundreds of companies.
The second call for the StartHealth program, aimed at projects or startups up to 31 years old, focused on innovation in the health sector, closed on 5 August. The Selection Committee has chosen the 10 projects with the highest score according to the established evaluation criteria. Claudia Danesi, director of the Department of Transfer, Innovation and Business, was very satisfied: “This year we have continued with a high participation and in addition, we have expanded the diversity of projects, positioning StartHealth as a reference program in the sector Catalan health ”.
The I-Talent Specialization Course for Inclusion, Innovation and Socio-Labor Insertion is funded by the ONCE Foundation and the European Social Fund, and is carried out with the support of the Maresme Private Foundation for People with Intellectual Disabilities.

Also the degrees of Marketing and Digital Communities, Business Administration and Innovation Management and the double degree of these two degrees have a demand in first preference that exceeds the places offered and, therefore, cut-off mark. In the field of technology, Management Engineering and Information Systems Engineering stands out, with a strong recovery in demand and a cut-off score of 6,3.
The TecnoCampus will host several activities in July as part of the third edition of Mobile Week, organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Generalitat. This is a week, from 5 to 11 July, dedicated to bringing technology closer to the public through different free activities that combine the face-to-face and digital format.
For all this, the main theme of Mobile Week 2021 in the city of Mataró will revolve around the role of technologies to successfully address the challenges posed by crises, both during its validity and in the new reality that arises. .
