Next November 29, the TecnoCampus will collaborate in the 6th edition of the National Congress of Municipal Engineering (CIM) 2022 in Barcelona, ​​as part of the new master's program in  Management, Computing and Urban Engineering, organized by College of Technical Engineering of Public Works and Civil Engineering of Catalonia (CIM), with the support of all municipal organizations and institutions, Provincial Council, City Council, and other entities.

The master's degree is aimed at professionals who want to achieve a profile of information technology integrator in management, planning and urban engineering and acquire practice based on experiences of companies in the service sector in cities.

The congress will have the challenge of reimagining and reinventing the city to achieve these changes that are necessary to make in our cities and is aimed at engineering professionals who develop their activity at the local level, municipal managers, companies who work in the provision of municipal services, to the political representatives of local administrations and to all those interested in improving the efficiency of municipal management through engineering

This year, the main axes of the congress will be:

  1. Imagine new ways of designing the city. The pandemic and periods of confinement have shaken the concept of the city that we had until now.

With presentations such as that of Lior Steinberg, Co-Founder & Urban Planner @Humankind, Xavier Matilla, Chief Architect at Barcelona City Council, representatives of theMetropolitan Area of ​​Barcelona (AMB) and representatives of theAssociation of municipalities for Mobilitat i el Transport Urbà (AMTU).

  1. Think about how to improve and make life easy for citizens. The city is the place where there is social interaction, where it is easier for things to happen, and it is the social space par excellence. Round table with Ramon Gras, science researcher of the cities of theharvard universityVincent Guallart, urban architect with important international projects and Ricard Font, general manager of BIMSA, principal execution agent for works in the city of Barcelona. The moderator will be Oriol Altisench, mobility manager of theBarcelona City Council.
