Description

Optional subject framed in the block of the mention in Intelligent Manufacturing in Industry 4.0.

The subject studies the main elements of an advanced manufacturing system with a special focus on axis control and numerical control machines. From the knowledge of these elements, it treats the subject of the automatic and flexible manufacture integrating the machines of numerical control with robots of load and download, automatic systems of transport and automatic warehouses.

The course includes a presentation of the importance, possibilities and limitations of remote maintenance and, also, the study of the possibilities of virtual and augmented reality systems, with a special focus on the maintenance of plant assets.

Evaluation system

The evaluation is based on a final exam and the evaluation of the project developed.

The final exam will consist of theoretical questions and one or more problems. This exam weighs 30% on the final grade.

The project is done as a team but it is identified which parts each member has made. The evaluation is done taking into account both the content and the presentation. The project has a weight of 70% in the final grade.

Attendance at class sessions and the delivery of the corresponding reports of the activities developed is a necessary condition for the evaluation of the subject.

There will be an extraordinary exam to make up for the final exam.
