This research, promoted by the Economy and Sustainability Commission of the College of Economists of Catalonia, has as objective to assess the degree of knowledge and implementation of the circular economy in all companies in Catalonia.

This initiative is a collaboration between the Economy and Sustainability Commission of the College of Economists of Catalonia, Foment del Treball Nacional, PIMEC, the Chair and the Department of Territory and Sustainability (DTES) of the Government of Catalonia.

Having this photograph is a key step to be able to define effective facilitating policies to promote, from governments and institutions, the transition towards this new socio-economic model. PIMEC and Foment del Treball Nacional have carried out a survey among their associates, while the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya has done it with business associations and companies affiliated to the Circular Economy Observatory.

The data collected from the barometer have first been processed with the collaboration of the technicians of the TecnoCampus Circular Economy Chair; then, professionals from all the entities involved in this initiative have analyzed them, to find out the state of the circular economy in Catalan companies. Lreport will be presented next November 21 at 18 p.m. at the headquarters of the College of Economists of Catalonia and can also be followed virtually.
