Last June 8, the award ceremony of the Maresme branch of the Academy of Medical Sciences and Health of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands took place, as part of the closing ceremony of the course academic year 2022-2023, with the participation of academic authorities and representatives of the health field.

In the delivery of pawarded to the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) of the TecnoCampus Degree in Nursing Outstanding work in the Health and Research Program modality was recognized. The prize for the best TFG in the Health Program modality was awarded to Eira Valldeperas i Zamora and Júlia Samitier González for the work "Mental health of women during pregnancy, birth and postpartum". The award was presented by the director of the TecnoCampus Health Department, Meritxell Puyané.

The prize for the best TFG in the Research modality was awarded to Laia Gómez Vicente for the work "Study on the needs and expectations of the Maresme population in relation to what the Vilassar de Dalt Association can offer against cancer". The coordinator of the Degree in Nursing, Carolina Chabrera, was in charge of giving him this recognition.

The main objective of these awards is to highlight and reward the effort and dedication of future Nursing degree professionals, as well as to encourage interest in research and the development of innovative work. The Academy of Medical Sciences reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and recognizing the talent of young nursing students, protagonists of the future of the profession.
