The university community will be able to practice different sports with favorable conditions thanks to the creation of the TecnoCampus Sports Club, a project that promotes, improves and includes previous initiatives.

The City Council and the TecnoCampus have today, February 8, signed a framework agreement for the creation of the TecnoCampus Sports Club with the aim of promoting sport and healthy habits among the university community. The framework of this agreement includes agreements with different entities and sports clubs in the city to offer their services to university students with favorable conditions.

Right now there is agreements with clubs and organizations in the city so that the university community can do scuba diving, Sorrall activities, snorkeling, freediving, climbing, rowing and football and basketball leagues. The aim is to increase the number of agreements so that the sports offer is as varied as possible, interesting and linked to the territory. The entire offer can be found on a website where clicking on the sport indicates the time conditions. and rates.

This framework agreement for the creation of the TecnoCampus Sports Club also includes other agreements such as the creation of a new category on Sports Night which will be called “University Sport” as well as the creation by TecnoCampus of 6 scholarships for high-level athletes worth € 1.500 per course (€ 750 by TecnoCampus and € 750 by the club or affiliated entity). There is also a contribution of € 3.000 from the TecnoCampus to the City Council's Sports Service to promote the social values ​​of sport. The TecnoCampus Sports Club is a project that promotes, improves and encompasses other previous initiatives that pursued the same goal of promoting sport and healthy habits among young people. This club is aimed at all TecnoCampus students, both undergraduate and master's and postgraduate, which currently number about 3.600.

The presentation of the agreement was chaired by the Mayor and President of TecnoCampus, David Bote, who has been accompanied by representatives of the city clubs involved in the project. Bote stressed that, with this agreement, the synergies between the TecnoCampus and the associative and economic fabric of the city are enhanced.
