The 2025 Games and Literary Theory gathers scholars of literature interested in expanding the scope of literary theory and game scholars concerned with adapting the methodological and theoretical approaches of literary theory for the study of games. This year's conference will revolve around the concepts of myth and folklore and invites scholars to study the narratives, motifs, imaginaries, and structures of myth in games and how games use classical myths and help consolidate new contemporary myths. We also invite researchers to delve into folklore, fantasy, and the dialogues and tensions between genres.
